The Symmetry Project
I’ve always found symmetry visually appealing. On January 1st of 2014 I began taking photographs of my daughter in “symmetrical spaces”. The project started somewhat by accident, but grew into something purposeful. The photographs are not perfectly symmetrical, of course, as we cannot control sunlight, shadow, and other anomalies, but over all the images feel symmetrical with Leah in the center. My daughter and I travel in and around Philadelphia, visiting many places. This project has become a record of our adventures together and the spaces we have encountered.
